Explore the hidden lagoons of Progreso by kayak and experience one of the most important breeding grounds for local birds and fish in the area. Your journey begins as you are greeted on the pier by your English-speaking guide and you'll be taken to your awaiting bus. Enjoy the scenic ride through the quaint city of Progreso on your way to the kayak site. Upon arrival, your guides will brief you on the art of handling a kayak, receive a safety instructions and your guide will give you outline of the adventure ahead. After a quick check of the area, it's time to live the experience and enjoy an incredible water adventure. Explore the wilderness life as you pass through mangroves and small islands; these islands are the perfect nesting grounds for the local birds and during the right season, you might catch a glimpse of a pink flamingo. Once you finish your Kayak experience, get back to base camp where you will have free time to relax, enjoy a light snack and sip a cold beverage.
